Dr. Öztürk joined the clinic in 2014, after studying under Prof. Özbayrak at Marmara University and completing her specialist training in endodontics. In 2019 she took over clinical leadership and launched the international patient programme. She will perform your treatment from the first video consultation to the final follow-up. She is a member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE). Her credentials are verifiable.

Forty years, on its own, does not mean much. Forty years of the same standard — handed down in person, from academic to protégée — is different.
Founded
Prof. Dr. Semih Özbayrak and Dr. Zümrüt Özbayrak open the clinic in Nişantaşı — a European-standard academic practice before dental tourism existed as a category.
Protégée joins
Dr. Cansu Öztürk — who studied under Prof. Özbayrak at Marmara University and completed her endodontic specialism — joins the clinic.
Succession
Dr. Öztürk takes over clinical leadership and launches the international patient programme. Standard unchanged — technology renewed.
Today
Two clinicians, four surgeries, one to two cases a day, 2,500+ international patients treated. Two generations. One standard.
Founders
Prof. Dr. Semih & Dr. Zümrüt Özbayrak
GC Clinic was founded in 1985 in Nişantaşı, Istanbul — long before international dental tourism existed as a category. Its founder, Prof. Dr. Semih Özbayrak, completed his doctoral training at Berlin’s Freie Universität in Oral Medicine before returning to Turkey to chair the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology at Marmara University from 1986 to 2013. His wife, Dr. Zümrüt Özbayrak, trained and practised in paediatric dentistry in Germany and co-founded the clinic. Together, they built a European-standard academic practice in Istanbul’s most established neighbourhood.
