GC Clinic is a boutique specialist dental practice in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. Founded by Prof. Dr. Semih Özbayrak — a university-based academic — together with his wife, Dr. Zümrüt Özbayrak, who trained and practised in paediatric dentistry in Germany. It was the kind of clinic you heard about through colleagues, not through billboards. Four decades later, the practice has been taken over by his long-standing protégée, Dr. G. Cansu Öztürk. The letterhead has changed. The standard has not.

Prof. Dr. Semih Özbayrak
Co-founder · 1985–2019
University-based academic. Berlin Freie Universität doctorate in Oral Medicine. Chaired the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology at Marmara University from 1986 to 2013. Taught two generations of Turkish dentists — including the doctor who now leads the clinic.
Dr. Zümrüt Özbayrak
Co-founder · Paediatric Dentistry
Trained and practised in paediatric dentistry in Germany. Co-founded GC Clinic in 1985 with Prof. Dr. Semih Özbayrak. Brought a European-standard approach to family dentistry from the very first chair.
Dr. G. Cansu Öztürk
Clinical Director · 2019–
Endodontist with specialist training. Studied under Prof. Özbayrak's department at Marmara University (DUS 2012–2016) and joined the clinic in 2014; took over clinical leadership in 2019. Former Assistant Professor and Head of Endodontics at Yeni Yüzyıl University (2016–2019). Conservative by conviction.
Why this matters to UK patients
Not a chain. Not a factory. Not a brand of someone else's clinic.
The Turkish dental tourism market contains a lot of things. Multi-chair volume operations. Franchise clinics trading under well-known names. Brokers who book patients into whichever chair is free. GC Clinic is none of them. It is a specialist practice with two doctors, four surgeries, and a receptionist who has worked here for eleven years.
That is not a marketing line. It is a legal, operational and commercial fact. The doctor you meet is the doctor who treats you and the doctor who writes your warranty. There is no handoff, because there is nowhere to hand off to.
